Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution
SciLifeLab, the national research centre for molecular biosciences, has implemented an identity and access management (IAM) solution supplied by Redpill Linpro. As part of the project, Keycloak’s IAM solution is to be implemented. The solution is based on open source code and provides functions for authentication, authorisation and user management for various applications and services.
A modern, open IAM solution
using Keycloak

SciLifeLab, founded by Karolinska Institutet, KTH, Stockholm University and Uppsala University, provides a national research infrastructure comprising high-tech analytical methods, the management of large volumes of research data and interdisciplinary collaborations. Today, the organisation is represented at most major Swedish universities, and thousands of researchers make use of the infrastructure provided each year. A key component of the infrastructure will be the new IAM solution, as it ensures that the right researchers have access to the right data and infrastructure.
As well as making life easier for researchers and giving them more time to focus on their core task - which is research - the solution that Redpill Linpro is now introducing will streamline administrative tasks. Much of the manual work previously involved in managing access and identities can now be automated.
