Cloud solutions and services

Something breaks at 03:00. An engineer in the Nordics is responding directly.

Build, migrate and operate cloud environments on your terms - from Nordic and private cloud to public and hybrid solutions.

Geography is the easy part

Sovereignty is deciding the rules. Where your data is stored, which jurisdiction your systems are subject to and how much control you retain over your infrastructure matter more than simply choosing a location.

Redpill Linpro Nordic Cloud answers all three. Norwegian law, three availability zones, a Nordic-owned company with no US parent. Open source from the hypervisor up. Our own engineers on call.

The same engineers run your workloads on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud when that is where they belong.

Choose the cloud that fits your requirements

Redpill Linpro Nordic Cloud

Compute, containers, managed databases, caching and object storage. Three data centres in the Oslo region, each its own fault domain, so a failure in one does not take the others with it.

AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Architecture, migration, cost control and day-to-day operations. We are an AWS Advanced Partner, and support Azure and Google Cloud on the same operating model.

Our own engineers on call

The 24/7 rotation is staffed by our own operations engineers. Not a general first line. Every alarm has a run book your delivery manager approved in advance, so the authority to act is settled before the incident.

When something needs more than the procedure, they escalate inside our team, to people who know your solution. After a critical fault, you get a root-cause analysis.

Map your dependencies

A structured review of what is critical, what can move, and what to take first. A shared starting point for management and engineers.

Container platforms

Kubernetes without the operational burden: from managing clusters to shipping software on them.

Open Source cloud

Why the stack underneath matters: what you can audit, what you can move, and what you are not locked into.

DIGITAL EMERGENCY PACKAGES

Be prepared before your cloud services become unavailable

A disruption doesn't have to mean your organisation stops working. Our Digital Emergency Packages provide predefined alternatives for critical digital services, helping you prepare for outages, geopolitical disruption or loss of access to existing providers.

AN INDEPENDENT COPY

  • Norwegian object storage
  • Versioning
  • Point-in-time recovery

Separated from your primary provider.

MICROSOFT 365 BACKUP

  • Exchange
  • SharePoint
  • Teams
  • OneDrive

Backed up outside Microsoft's own infrastructure and recoverable to a chosen point in time.

A PARALLEL PLATFORM READY TO RUN

  • Chat
  • Video meetings
  • File storage
  • Document editing

Configured in advance with a current user list. Works the day you need it.

XTERNAL COMMUNICATION

  • A separate publishing channel
  • Customers and partners informed

CLOUD SERVICES

Build the cloud environment you need

From infrastructure and container platforms to databases, storage and identity – combine the services you need and let our specialists operate the underlying environment.

Cloud platform (IaaS)

Virtual machines you provision yourself, through a console or the API, on OpenStack with Ceph underneath. No overcommitted resources: the CPU and memory you pay for are the CPU and memory you get. 99.9% platform availability.

Container platform

Managed Kubernetes on OpenShift OKD, with worker nodes dedicated to you. We run and monitor the platform around the clock; you keep full control of what you deploy on it.

Database as a Service

MariaDB and PostgreSQL, single-node or clustered, with backup, patching and scaling handled. Spin up a new instance from a backup when you need a test environment.

Object storage (S3)

S3-compatible object storage in Norway, replicated across all three availability zones. Priced per gigabyte with volume tiers, for backup, archive and unstructured data at scale.

Frontend as a Service

Varnish as a managed service, single node or as a three-node cluster, in front of your applications. Caching and delivery you do not have to operate yourself.

Managed Keycloak

Identity and access on open standards: OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0 and SAML. Your own instance with full admin access, on a dedicated database.

Support throughout your cloud journey

Whether you're defining your strategy, migrating existing workloads or operating a complex cloud environment, our specialists can support you at every stage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Public cloud uses infrastructure and services provided by an external cloud provider, while private cloud provides a dedicated environment for one organisation. Hybrid cloud combines different environments, allowing workloads and data to be placed where they fit best.

The right approach depends on factors such as security, scalability, data requirements, existing infrastructure and the level of control your organisation needs.

A hybrid cloud combines private or on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services. This allows organisations to use different environments for different workloads rather than moving everything to a single cloud platform.

Hybrid cloud can be particularly useful when some systems require greater control or specific data residency while others benefit from the scalability and services available in public cloud.

There is no single cloud model that is right for every workload. The choice should consider your applications, data, security and compliance requirements, performance, scalability, costs and existing technical dependencies.

For many organisations, the result is a combination of environments rather than one provider or platform for everything.

A successful cloud migration starts with understanding your existing applications, data, infrastructure and dependencies. From there, workloads can be assessed and a migration strategy created based on business requirements, security, compliance and technical complexity.

Migration does not have to mean moving everything at once. Workloads can be migrated gradually to public, private or hybrid cloud environments, followed by optimisation once they are running in the new environment.

Cloud sovereignty is about maintaining control over your data, infrastructure and digital operations. It goes beyond where a data centre is physically located and can include questions about jurisdiction, who can access data, who operates the infrastructure and how dependent your organisation is on a particular provider or technology.

Data residency refers primarily to where data is stored or processed geographically. Data sovereignty is broader and considers the laws and jurisdictions that may apply, who controls or can access the data, and the organisation's ability to maintain control over its digital environment.

This means that storing data in Europe does not by itself answer every sovereignty question.
